New Creatives North
In conjunction with BBC Arts and Arts Council England, I was supported and commissioned to create an original audio piece to be broadcast on various platforms. The scheme aims to support emerging talent in regional areas across England. My piece, ‘Another Joan’, focussed on the role young, female icons such as Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai and Emma Gonzalez can inspire others to speak out against the current political chaos, integrating spoken word with news recordings. Can be found on BBC Sounds as of January 8th 2020.

2017 | Carpe Jugulum by S.Briggs & T.Pratchett | The Assembly Rooms, Durham
Successfully translated Pratchett’s fantasy world onto the stage, presenting those with no knowledge of the book a clear and enjoyable story, working with live animals, pyrotechnics and cast of 35+.
2016 | After The End by Dennis Kelly | Three Tuns Hotel, Durham
Debut production with ‘First Theatre Company’ (specifically for those who had not directed before), receiving a Commendation from the National Student Drama Festival judges 2016-2017. Staged in an abandoned hotel, with a high focus on the aesthetics of the space along with disturbing sounds and visual projections to create an immersive experience. Described as ‘inherently individual’ and ‘wonderfully unsettling’.

5* sell-out, profit making show. Original run in Durham Drama Festival 2017 under name of ‘The Not So Divine Comedy’. Organised publicity, social media, press releases and Mile presence. Coordinated a 7-strong cast as well as technical operator for the show. Overall creative and organisational responsibility.

Original satirical comedy about romance selected from 80+ entries. Forwarded to have the piece casted, created and performed. High focus on playing on theatrical conventions with ‘Theatre of Cruelty’ inspirations. Nominated for Best Ensemble, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress.
